Artist's description:

This watercolor painting was inspired by the flowers growing in my garden. When these plants bloom they add a very striking and colorful element to the garden. They are so exotic and interesting that I have been planning to paint them for a while. The new batch of blooms were so profuse I had to paint them. I also incorporated other plants that grow here in Florida to create a decorative composition. I had the perfect Windsor and Newton 300 pound watercolor paper. This high quality paper kept the richness and brightness of the paints. I loved working with both paints and this special paper. The paper is deliberately torn at the edges creating an irregular line. The works can be framed either showing these distinctive edges or they can be covered.
