Original artwork description:

Each season of the year creates unique colors and light. The light of summer is fascinating and inspiring with its’ intensity and brilliance. Throughout the series of bird paintings has been to choose and use color either intuitively or literally based on direct observations during different times of the year. Summer is my favorite season.
My technique to make layers at first had mostly been produced with texture mediums such as plaster or modeling paste. For this painting I decided to use more paint and a palette knife to build the layers.

Materials used:

palette knife, oil paint
