This is a binnacle which was used onboard ships to house the ships compass. Over the years other gear such as the declinometer has been added. The red and green balls are used to calibrate the compass to point to true north.
This painting has been created using professional grade acrylics on 118 lb archival quality canvas paper. The overall size is 16X12 inches which is 40X30 centimeters.
