This playful tabby is caught mid-zoom — all speed, spots and attitude! She always makes me think of Chi, our own whirlwind tabby who’d sprint around the living room like he had somewhere very important to be. I wanted to paint that burst of joy and energy, the colourful whoosh of a cat racing past just for the fun of it.

The piece is painted in watercolour on gorgeous handmade paper with four natural deckle edges. Soft blends of greens, pinks, blues, purples and warm orange tones mix with her spots and stripes, giving the whole painting a lovely sense of movement and life.
