This is an October 1995 night photograph from the French Quarters in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, outside Big Daddy's Bottomless, Topless bar. As the sign indicates, upon entering the bar I encountered nude females dancing on each table with nothing on but gold chains around their waists. At the moment I entered the bar there was not another customer in the bar but every table was occupied by a dancing nude female. The sign promised no cover charges for drinks, which began at $3.75 per drink. I did not stay for a drink. The street scene was very typical of night-time street scenes in New Orleans in 1996 with individuals standing, i.e., loitering, in various positions on sidewalks outside bars. The street culture of New Orleans at that time was distinctively different from any city I have ever encountered.
This photograph was created from a Kodak Tri-X negative scanned with a Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 ED and processed via Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop before being printed as a giclee on archival 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
