A Scottish mountain landscape painting of Bheinn a Bhuird in the Cairngorm mountains of the highlands of Scotland. In this semi abstract impressionist style painting I have tried to portray the distance of the moorland that leads to the bulky mountain top of this Cairngorm mountain. With the foreground heather mountain painted in warm shades of red ochre and purple with the hills in the distance in cooler blue shades.
Painted on a lightly textured canvas which gives it an atmospheric textural style which adds to the misty mood of the painting.
Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
