Artist's description:

Artfinder Artist Of The Week. - See 'link in About'

All art is illusion and illusion isn't what it seems. Although the works in this series are of modest scale , they, curiously, suggest, imply, practically boast, an almost monumental scale. (What strange witchcraft is afoot?)
The series as a whole began as a loose reference to Vonnegut's ideas of hidden messages in the caves of Mercury, and a cerebral enquiry into the purpose of image making. Each piece is developed within a fixed set of guidelines and
each individual piece depicts a 'sign' a 'clue' to an elusive meaning. which, taken together could give the illusion of coherent message - the meaning of "Art'. The reference here shifts over time from Vonnegut to Jorge Luis Borges and the Library of Babel.
This work is framed, as are we all.

Materials used:

oil pastels on 210 GSM acid free paper. Framed

"Beyond The Wall" - 56 (2017)
