Artist's description:

This is a wood burning of a female lying on a bed of roses. The image is burned into birch wood, and displayed in an antique cast iron frame.
I got my inspiration from the frame itself. The cast iron frame with its lattice like legs, banner of roses across the top, and the three angels gracing the sides and top made me think of a heavenly garden. "How romantic" I thought to be in a heavenly garden.
I finished this piece by designing and sawing out of steel two peacocks and securing them to the back of the birch wood.

Materials used:

birch wood, steel, cast metal frame
