On one of my visits to North East Scotland I took a photo of the Beauly Firth at sunset. That photo is the inspiration for this watercolour. It is an image of contrasts, stark silhouettes, and softly blended colour. The challenge with watercolour is not to lose the light, let water and pigment combine and move but still the white of the paper must shine through.
This picture is sold unframed but with a mount and back board. It is painted on Arches 300gm paper with Winsor Newton professional watercolours.
