Original artwork description:

This painting is inspired by serpentine, fluid shapes particularly that of ribbons dancing in the wind. The heavy contrast of dark and light gives the effect of rich, silken fabric and the twist and turns reflect our own journey through life. The two dominant colours of blue and pinkish-red also represent at a basic level the flow of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood around our circulatory system. At a greater level, this symbolises the constant recycling that happens throughout the environment and in all living things

Materials used:

acrylic paint on 2cm deep wrapped canvas
