I can be so impressed by a combination of colors, I'm inspired to create a painting with the same emotion. A hazy, periwinkle blue was where I started; with hints of deep lavender, rose and a hint of yellow. Even though I began with a serene palette, I couldn't help but to add the brights that make me so happy. Par for the course. These cheery floral shapes appeared; with the spirit of a Batík fabric my mother bought for me in the Caribbean when I was a girl. It's signed to hang vertically, but will truly do well in a horizontal position. Tell your friends the artist said so. This floral with a Batík flavor suits me, as I hope it does you; your very own Batí-flor.

Please also note that the in-situ image shows an additional mat and frame that may be added but are not included or necessary. The deep 1-1/2" edges of your canvas have been painted as extensions of the main composition.
