Artist's description:

This is a piece that transformed itself time and time again over a long period of time and finally came to fruition. Initially I had laid dozens of poplar panel fragments on the main surface and it created a crane-like structure that worked for a time, then it changed dramatically. I took to the fragments with hammer and chisel which left the surface beautifully pock marked.
After that, the piece started to fall into place after I sanded it down, poured a few layers of latex and began to build it up again.
There are holes drilled into it down the middle that I never filled in with dowels, or otherwise, that give it some air.
This is wholly ORIGINAL, with NO reproductions to be made. Truly ONE-OF-A-KIND!
