I love Swaledale sheep, with their black faces, white eye markings, curly horns and thick winter fleeces. I thought these three looked like a 70s pop line up.
I also really enjoy pen and wash. The structure of the ink drawing lets you be free and easy with the watercolour on top. I started by blocking in the big areas of dark with a brush and Indian Ink and then used a pen to work up areas of tone and texture. I let it all dry and then enjoyed patterns, splatter and sploshes with the watercolour.
This will go into a 50x70cm standard size frame, so you should easily find one to suit your taste (my preference is for a natural wooden frame) or you can arrange bespoke framing to suit your decor - entirely up to you!
