Artist's description:

Back in 2000 while I was attending film school, I shot a b/w, super 8, allegorical short film on the legend of 'La Llorona' (the Weeping Woman) @ Avila Adobe (10 Olvera Street in Downtown L.A.), the oldest recorded home in L.A. It was while scouting a location for my short film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0gr0yy4C1w that I decided to shoot some b/w 35 film and this is one of them. In 2011 Jose Vera Gallery in Eagle Rock, CA invited us to do a solo show of my family's collection, including a couple of pieces of mine-this one being one of them-and it sold! I was very honored.
