The Marais Poitevin is an area of canals, riverlets and wetlands in the southwest of France. It is a nature reserve, and attracts a vast number of tourists, especially in the high season. It is about an hour's drive from our Maison d'Art, and I paint there regularly. The autumn colours are always stunning!
