one of a series of paintings featuring the woodlands around Loch Lomond. The colours, especially on the birch trees and maples, is wonderful every Autumn. I build up washes and glazes of colour, with my trademark gold and copper mixed with paint. When I get to painting the foreground, I also add texture medium and apply the paint with palette knives, scoring through the layers to reveal the colours underneath.
This painting is complete with a professionally-made solid wood frame, it is varnished with UVA protection satin varnish, so no glass necessary. Signed on the front and signed and dated on the back of the canvas. Strung with cord on the back ready to hang.
