This is the first in the series of three late afternoon paintings in the vineyards in November. We have been having a glorious late summer but now the weather has turned crisp and cold and leaves are beginning to fall. Its been a beautiful day, at 3.30 I decided I must go out and paint again, the sunset turned out to be so very pretty, I used small canvases and I am so pleased with the 3 paintings of the sun going down picking up the glorious autumn colours. This paintings is 10" x 8" oil on canvas painted entirely with a palette knife. Unframed.
