Original artwork description:

Original Painting of Audrey Hepburn by Eran Di Capri.

Audrey Hepburn photographed at “La Vigna”, a charming villa in Albano Laziale, a commune in the Provincia di Roma in August 1955. The province was on the Colli Albani, in the region of Lazio, Italy. This is an outtake from a 1955 shoot for US Glamour magazine.

“La Vigna” was rented by Audrey and her husband Mel Ferrer, to be their home during a break from the filming of “War and Peace” directed by King Vidor. Hepburn starred as Natasha Rostova. This was the same villa they stayed in for their honeymoon in September 1954 (although it was at that time called "Villa Rolli at Albano" because it belonged to a different owner and was later renamed).

Audrey was wearing an afternoon cocktail dress by Givenchy from his Spring/Summer 1955 collection. The sleeveless dress was made from a light pink grosgrain with white stripes and featured a resin button detail on the front and pleated skirt starting from the hip line. Her pearl bracelet was by Van Cleef & Arpels and her gloves by Crescendoe.

Audrey's hair was styled by Grazia De Rossi and her makeup by Alberto De Rossi (Grazia’s husband).
