Artist's description:

This painting is part of a recent body of work inspired by an icy day at Blackford Pond, a local nature reserve in my home city of Edinburgh, Scotland. On this January day the water was partly frozen over and the birds were either walking on the ice or paddling around at the edges. The light was clear and crisp, sound was muted, and the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and still. I am interested in the way people experience and connect with nature in our busy modern world, especially those of us living in cities, and this is my favourite place to go.

It is painted in Golden acrylic paint, on a pre-stretched canvas. The sides are painted white so it is ready to hang without framing, though can be framed if preferred (would look good in a simple wooden inlay frame).

Certificate of authenticity will be included. I am happy to ship anywhere in the world - please message me for a shipping quote if your country is not listed in my shipping tables. Will be bubblewrapped and shipped in a box.
