Original artwork description:

For millennia humanity has looked to the skies and imagined flying among the birds. I have imagined a tiny corner of an ancient murmuration that has been dancing across the skies captivating the modern human as much as it ever did our ancestors.

I have hand worked the metals in a way not too distant from our ancestors when they first forged metals and alloys from the earth. I find much inspiration in nature and also from ancient metals, their survival and colours which show their history. The patination reflects that these birds are ancient but timelessly free.

Materials used:

copper, brass, bronze, wood
