Artist's description:

Inspired by Brancaster Staithe Estuary, Norfolk

Two boats anchored to the mud by a loose rope awaiting the tide to come in. The narrative can be your own, I like the idea of these boats being tender to a larger more powerful vessel drifting and bobbing a few miles off shore.
I was interested by the colours of the mud and how the light can bring out purples and yellows.

This is an original piece and framed with a hand made frame made by myself.

Materials used:

watercolour paper

Anchored boats at low tide (2014)
