This painting, dominated by blues, greens, yellows and burgundy and copper, is made through a complex multilayered technique that involves using acrylic paints and mediums, including modeling paste, and then sanding with a rotary sander through several layers, leaving interesting and complex "marks" that add tremendous detail. There are large swirls where the underlying copper paint is revealed. This is currently framed in a simple mahogany frame of about 2 inches on all sides.
