An expressive semi abstract impressionist Scottish landscape painting inspired by the remote wild moor of Altnaharra in the far north Scottish highland county of Sutherland.
Painted in a loose style with a knife in muted earth tones of oches and blue grey, with a dramatic stormy sky.
In this painting I have tried to convey the remote atmosphere of this wild and rugged moorland landscape with its distant hills and fast flowing moorland rivers in autumnal colours.
Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
