“Alpine Falls” is an optical exercise of the mind. Although I have never visited any “alpine” area except the local mountain scenery with their inescapable falls here in the Northwest, capturing the image in my mind was the challenge ..(or exercise) I set out to do. . Coloring of the piece was paramount in my mind with the composition being secondary. I feel I accomplished what I set out to do. This little work is sold without frame. It may be framed with an 8x10 “off the shelf” standard format frame.
Oil over triple gessoed surface.
