This one-off artwork (edition of 1), is an arrangement made up of five (mostly) triangular wood-engraved blocks, hand-printed onto fine Japanese paper, then her hands and legs are drawn in waterproof ink, the whole image is washed in watercolour and added pencil marks.
It dates from a time when I was workiing extensively in wood-engraving and linoprinting in London in the late 1980s.
I see this as one of my key works from this period and it was the 'opening' image in my mini-retrospective at Strule Arts Centre Northern Ireland in 2013, with another work, 'Love in a Dark Landscape', being the final image.
Available beautifully framed in a little black box frame with the deckled edges of the paper visible.
Sent securely wrapped, by Tracked delivery.
Ready to hang.
