I lay here in the grass. Summer sun warms my skin. A haze of floral colour dances in the breeze, moving in time to a Summer Song. Allegro
Inspired by the beauty of a wild summer hillside festooned with wild flowers, I wanted to create a painting which brought summer in to the home on the darkest of winter days. I have kept the detail of the painting loose to suggest the movement of the flowers in the breeze. Bold textured flowers lie hidden amongst the cacophony of colour and delicate butterflies flutter above the wild flowers. Allegro brings back memories of laughing in the sunshine and running through fields of wild flowers. It makes me smile and want to sing. Allegro is ready to hang.
