Original artwork description:

Base layer and back ground were originally an abstract creation, acrylic abstraction.
In leaving the background with the abstraction exposed a figure (owl) was drawn into the foreground and then the negative space was filled.
It's a process that I call pushing and pulling. Pushing & pulling the foreground and back ground to create depth.
I discovered this process by creating on surfaces that already had patterns or images on them and then creating overtop of that.
It has several small canvases inside the dimensions given, that can be removed and re arranged. The idea that you, the viewer can interact with the piece itself is exciting as an artist.
I create allot with circles and and the owl is such an amazing creature. its shapes, size, myths. its unique astounding ability to turn its view 360 degree, is what inspired its name.
I had also created it inspired by my ladies love for the owl and mine for her.
