Beautiful realistic pastel painting of goslings. I was walking in Richmond Park in Spring, late in the day, when I came across these gorgeous fellows. The goslings were settling down for the night, snuggling into their mother's side. I have used a surface called pastelmat which feels like a very fine sandpaper, this holds the pastel, and allows the use of multiple layers, enabling me to captive all the soft downy feathers.
Pastel on pastelmat, mounted using a pH neutral and non acidic board.
