Original artwork description:

Trees facinate me and I love to spend time in forests and woods, exploring the strange and unusual shapes that can be found. The challenge for me is to use ink to show the light and dark areas of the bark of gnarled trees such as this ancient olive tree; a bonus is that strange creatures emerge from the tree trunk during this process. I never know what will appear from the trunk! This drawing is created using ink pens of different thicknesses and cross hatching to show darker areas. The leaves and background use watercolour to add a hint of colour. This drawing is not standard size and will need a mount for it to fit a standard size frame.
