This is one of an on-going series of artworks, all of which feature flowers and/or plants as their main focus. I live by the seaside (no sea view unfortunately) and I just love colourful beach huts. They always bring back childhood memories of sitting on the beach at St Ives with my family eating homemade pasties – well we are Cornish! Agapanthus is a plant which you will find in many gardens but it also frequently found growing in flower beds along coastal towns. In this painting the blue Agapanthus (they also come in white) contrast beautifully with the yellow sand.
High quality acrylic paint on canvas board which has been float mounted in a white frame.
