Artist's description:

The forests of western Canada are being destroyed by the pine beetle and, when the trees die, the dead wood is stained to a deep blue. Beautiful in its horror. The painting is statement about the square miles upon miles of dead and dying trees. Dying due to global warming.

All of my artworks come with a signed and dated certificate of authenticity.

This painting has a black 1” wide floating frame made of wood. The sides of the painting are painted black to blend in with the frame. It is wired and ready to hang. I use professional quality canvas on a wooden stretcher and paint with professional grade acrylics with high quality color pigments that have very good to excellent resistance to fading.

Materials used:

acrylic paint
