Artist's description:

This painting was juried into The Colors of Humanity "Landscape" 2017 show. This painting also won THIRD place in the 22nd Annual "Arts by the Shore" art show in Oak Island, NC. - Bald Head Island is a "remote island" off the coast of North Carolina. It is inhabited but only accessible by ferry. It has been left in a very natural state and residents drive only golf carts and most homes are "hidden" in the natural landscape. It is near my home and I love to visit and take photographs. This one was taken right after it rained. I love the colors of the marsh and the "wildness."
