Original artwork description:

This tree was drawn on a hike with my wife and friend in Xindian, Taipei City, Taiwan. I found this tree at the peak of the trail and drew it “en plein air” as we rested and enjoyed the views for a while. The trunk of the tree looks like it has been struck by lightning and broken in half with the charred remains surviving. The jagged shapes and textures were very interesting to me and I was drawn towards it.
I also liked the shape of the branches stretching away from the trunk and find it quite amazing that it can still survive after being so severely burnt. Only nature knows how.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
