Artist's description:

Seybold was a German artist who lived from 1657 to 1768. I sometimes copy faces from the internet for practice, and some artists copy from master painters of the past to learn from them. I thought it would be a good exercise to copy this self portrait with the detailed wrinkles and fur, though I didn't get anywhere near the detail that was in the original. When it was almost finished, I found a better photograph of his painting that was brighter and more colorful. Oh well, like I said, it was a good exercise, and I thought it turned out pretty good, especially since I didn't start out to be particularly accurate at the beginning.
