Artist's description:

Painting on the Beach is never straight forward, the conditions are never what you expect, the light is consistently changing but its a place I thrive to paint. Observing the abstracted forms move across the sand and the ever-changing tonal ranges, dark to light in a matter of seconds, sharp to hazy in minutes. This work was created just after a huge thunderstorm, (and yes I was hiding under the sun shelters) when the sand was soaked with rain, the clouds where thick and heavy and everything looked so dark. Working quickly I managed to capture the darkness of the coasts atmosphere before it suddenly cleared producing bright sunshine.
