I mixed cold wax with the oil paint to increase the flexibility and transparency of the paint. The cold wax also creates a diffused matte finish. A palette knife was used to apply the paint to the canvas. One of my favorite subject matters is sky / sunset paintings because of their abstract quality. I added tissue paper to the foreground to create subtle texture and color variation while keeping those sections as a strong anchor and contrast to the sky. The edges of the canvas are painted black so framing is optional. Wire has been attached for hanging and hooks / nails are included. Please let me know if you have any questions.
