As my city is growing and bursting at it's seams multi storeyed housing complexes sprout everywhere, even very close to the forest areas. Intruding into the space of the wild , these beautiful creatures have lost their battle against the most powerful enemy, the human being. The reptiles like cobras, rat snakes, Russell's vipers and Banded kraits stray into these human occupied areas by mistake and are caught and killed mercilessly. Very few people call the Wildlife Rescue team to catch them and release them back into the forest. Recently one such incident happened when a Russel's viper had strayed into a swimming pool. It was caught in a bucket and later on killed mercilessly. When I came to know of it was too late. I immediately informed the concerned about the existence of the rescue teams so that at least in future these reptiles are not "punished" with their lives. The image of the beautiful viper in the bucket of water moved me to tears and I put all my pain into this artwork.
