Original artwork description:

What excites me as an artist is having no boundaries when it comes to the use of new materials, or using common materials in new ways.  The funny thing is, I am most motivated to utilize materials from my studio when they start piling up and I have no room to paint.   I am notorious for saving everything, from boxes of broken glass (which is being well used now), rolls and rolls of fabric, old door knobs, electronic innards, and lots of plastic sheets (which I used in this piece).

I just bought my children on of those anatomical figures that are see-through and you can pull out all the internal organs and skeleton.  I love the look of it and thought, what if you could see through the canvas, see its bones and internal organs.  When I stretched the plastic, at first I was very concerned about the look of seeing the stretchers under, perhaps I should have painted them black first, but the goal was to see the bones, and those are the bones.

Materials used:

Spray Paint
