Artist's description:

This image was taken while canoeing on Lago Sandoval in the Peruvian jungle. Stormclouds were accumulating on the horizon and having been caught out in similar situations before, I was a little anxious about the possibility of getting drenched!

The sky looked volatile as the clouds billowed up, nature's powerful forces on show right before me. I imagine that this is the kind of sky William Turner took inspiration from for some of his famous landscapes.

Looking at it, I still get a feeling of the tension and electricity that was in the air that day.
