Artist's description:

Remember those days when every street corner had it's own corner shop? In New Zealand they still do, only they call them dairies. However they sell all things that one would expect from a corner shop, and most especially pies; NZ's staple food. This dairy is a beacon in the night calling us in to it's glow. Edward Hopper was an early influence, and this oil pastel clearly demonstrates this love.

Materials used:

pastel card, oil pastels
