This version of A Patterned Landscape is with a monotype base.
This method gives a more painterly feel to the linocut print.
There are many ways to create a monotype; here I used an acetate plate on which to paint the inks with a brush ( this is why the paint strokes are more visible). The inked up plate is then passed through an etching press and left to dry then the linocut block is printed on top.
(Please be aware that there are slight crease marks on the edge of the paper, these will be easily hidden when framed.)
