This painting celebrates the beautiful woods near my home in the Peak District during Summer, walking here is a joy. Sun rays filter through the leafy glade merging with flowers and grasses expressed with abstract marks in the foreground.
An original artwork, one of a kind, this painting has been created with high quality acrylic paints on a deep edged canvas so no need for a frame. I use impasto techniques applied with a palette knife in multi layers, which creates a contemporary painting and if you look closely you can see the first layers applied in places.
