Original artwork description:

This painting is based on my memories of the many forest walks I have been on. It was done purely from memory and imagination and therefore quite abstract. I have always been fascinated by reflections and the different forms and colours they produce. In this painting I wanted to focus on reflections in a forest when the ground is wet and flooded in parts. This piece started off as a seascape but as it developed it took me to a wonderful place that resembles forestry. I will always let the painting take me to where it wants to go. Each mark was done spontaneously and without too much thinking. my thoughts, feelings and emotions were being transferred onto the canvas. I wanted a continuous flow through out the painting which i am happy to say I`ve achieved. I had alot of fun painting this as well as frustration as some marks would not work so id scrape off the paint and try again until it did work. Most of this painting was done using a pallet knife as well as brushes and the palms of my hand.

This piece comes unframed as seen in the images but is ready to hang with wire already attatched on the back. It can be framed at any framers store.

Materials used:

oil, brushes, canvas and my hands
