Artist's description:

This is my entry for this year's Great British Bee Count project by the Friends of the Earth. It is a small whimsical painting of a sturdy worker completing his part of the deal by delivering pollen he has collected to other flowers.
We have a small urban garden in a big city and yet we are visited by large numbers of a wide variety of bumbles as well as the European honey bee. When they return each year it gives me a lift, not just because it is a promise of summer, but I think its a reminder of the tenacity of the natural world.
