Original artwork description:
An oil painting depicting a sunny beach scene. I tried to capture the feeling of the quiet solitude that you have on a beach while ironically being surrounded by people.
I am painting a series of works on moisture resistant MDF to see how the smooth surface reacts to my brush strokes. The effect creates a wonderful sheen which lends itself well to the painted water.
The final painting is then placed in a hand painted white tray frame helping the image to stand out.
