An engaging book in the hand, abundant sunshine with some breeze to boot. That's my idea of a perfect day and that's what I set out to capture with this painting. A couple of years ago, we were on a cycling trip and stopped by this little lake for a break. I spotted this woman engrossed in her book and enjoying the awesome weather and simply had to paint her!
