Lino cut and then hand painted.
The ideal of life and death has always been an are of interest in my work and is usually a starting point for an idea to grow from so combining 2 areas that I have been researching recently seemed rather fitting. As the design is rather busy I wanted to keep the final image simple which I why I have chosen lino cutting for simple black lines.
This piece came from the early process of printing where there has not been enough pressure to get the image dark enough but the outcome was not bad enough to discard which is where I decided to work back into the piece with inks and watercolours. this means these pieces are unique one offs with only a limited amount available.
