'#6 Shallow Ings' is a limited edition Japanese woodblock print. The traditional process of Japanese woodblock printmaking involves cutting a number of woodblocks with knives and chisels. The relief carving is then brushed with water based inks, registered, and printed by hand with a Japanese bamboo baren to build up the image in layers.
'#6 Shallow Ings' is one of a series of prints inspired by walking through floodplain meadows beside the River Derwent in North Yorkshire.
Printed on Japanese Hosho paper with water based inks.
Numbered, titled and signed in pencil.
Sold unframed and without mount
A certificate of authenticity will be included with the print.
Posted in a flat package; your print will arrive protected in acid free tissue paper, wrapped in cellophane and backed onto cardboard.
Please note that prints may vary slightly due to the process of individual hand printing.
