Artist's description:

Narwhals live in Arctic waters and are known as unicorns of the sea. Their long tusk is in fact an outgrown tooth. It is almost like a piece of skin in the sense that it has all the sensory nerve endings that can sense the changes in the salinity of the water. Narwhals are shy and skittish; they do not have any tooth in the mouth, and eat relatively small prey.

This is one of the original artworks from my Endangered series where I explored all these beautiful but endangered species with the hope to raise some awareness. Hope you like it!

I used pastel sticks and pencils on 98lbs colored pastel paper. I also used acrylic paints to highlight the reflection on its back. The artwork is sprayed with fixative for protection and can fit 5x7 or 6x9 frames. Paper can be cut into the desired/actual image size if you like.

It will be wrapped in tissue papers and mailed in a rigid cardboard envelop to ensure it stays flat and no bending. It will also be insured up to the value of the artwork.

Please feel free to ask any questions! Thank you for viewing!
