13173 is one of a series of small night sky paintings in the tradition of my larger night sky series (sometimes referred to as my outer space series). This series, originated in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York, is inspired by the expansive night sky up there and the incredible starry nights that can be seen there.
This series of round paintings (measuring 4 inches across) was created on bar coasters then are sealed with a coat of enamel that protects them and gives them a nice glow.
